Thanks to its excellent initial tack, it adheres securely—even to rough surfaces—and reliably compensates for unevenness and tension between the materials being bonded. Its very high shear strength ensures a long-term, stable bond, for example, in POS displays, signs, posters, or shelf-edge bonding. The PE foam backing, combined with a yellow release liner, allows for easy handling and clean work—ideal for professional applications in store fixtures, advertising, and industrial settings.

Key Features

Product Type: Double-sided PE foam adhesive tape

Brand: tesa® / Product: 64958

Tape color: white

Backing material: PE foam

Adhesive: synthetic rubber

Excellent initial adhesion, even on rough surfaces

Compensates for unevenness and tension between materials

Very high shear strength; static shear strength at 40 °C: medium

Backing: Release paper, yellow

Adhesive tape thickness: 1,050 µm

Liner thickness: 70 µm

Weight of the backing: 80 g/m²

Elongation at break: 200%

Tensile strength: 7

Long-term temperature resistance: 40 °C

Short-term temperature resistance: 60 °C

Plasticizer resistance: moderate

Chemical resistance: moderate

Moisture resistance: good

UV resistance: moderate

Initial tack: good

Adhesion to ABS (initial/after 14 days): 6 N/cm / 6 N/cm

Adhesion to PC (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Adhesion to PE (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Adhesion to PET (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Adhesive strength on PP (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Adhesion to PVC (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Adhesive strength on steel (initial/after 14 days): 4 N/cm / 4 N/cm

Available sizes: 25 m x 12 mm; 25 m x 19 mm; 25 m x 25 mm

Applications

Adhesive bonding of POS displays in store design and sales promotion

Bonding signs and posters to various substrates

Edge bonding in retail and shelving systems

Installation of lightweight components and decorations in interior spaces

Bonding to plastics such as ABS, PC, PE, PET, PP, and PVC, as well as to steel

Summary

tesafix 64958 PE foam adhesive tape, white, is the reliable solution for durable, clean, and stress-relieving bonds on a wide variety of substrates—ideal for professional applications in POS, signage, and display settings, versatile across multiple tape widths, and featuring high adhesive strength and shear strength for long-lasting results.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
