Battery Information

Our shipments may contain batteries and rechargeable batteries. In accordance with the Battery Act Implementation Act (BattDG) and Regulation (EU) 2023/1542, we would like to inform you of the following:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. As an end user, you are legally required to collect used batteries and rechargeable batteries separately and return them.

You can return them free of charge at municipal collection points (recycling centers) as well as at any retail location where new batteries of the same type are sold.

Why separate collection is necessary: Used batteries may contain hazardous substances that can harm the environment and human health if stored or disposed of improperly. At the same time, they contain valuable raw materials that can be recycled.

Preventing waste: You can extend the service life of batteries and rechargeable batteries by storing them in a cool, dry place, avoiding complete deep discharge, and charging rechargeable batteries according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Using rechargeable batteries instead of disposable ones helps prevent waste.

Meaning of the Symbols: The symbol of the crossed-out trash can means that the battery must not be disposed of with household trash. If the battery contains hazardous substances, the chemical symbols Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), or Hg (mercury) are listed below it.

Safety Note Regarding Lithium: Please discharge lithium-containing batteries and rechargeable batteries and return them with the terminals taped over to prevent short circuits and fires. Damaged or swollen rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of in household trash or placed in collection boxes for undamaged batteries—please drop them off at your local collection point, noting that they are damaged.

Removable batteries and rechargeable batteries must be removed from the device before returning it as waste and must be returned separately.
