Description

Cutimed Sorbact combats wound infections through purely physical means: Bacteria and fungi naturally bind to the DACC-coated surface and are irreversibly trapped. With each dressing change, a portion of the microorganisms is removed from the wound. Because nothing is killed, no additional endotoxins are released that could delay healing.

This 10 × 100 cm version is designed as a wound filler for negative pressure wound therapy. The material consists of acetate or cotton fabric fibers with a bacteria-binding coating. There are no known contraindications, and there is no time limit on its use during the course of therapy.
