Description

Cutimed Sorbact combats infections purely through physical means. Bacteria such as MRSA and VRE, as well as fungi, naturally bind to and become anchored on the DACC-coated surface. They are irreversibly trapped and their growth is inhibited—with each dressing change, the bacterial count in the wound decreases.

Because no germs are killed, no additional endotoxins are released that could delay healing. This results in two practical advantages: an unlimited duration of use throughout the course of treatment and no known contraindications. This product is an absorbent dressing made of acetate or cotton fibers and is packaged sterile.

Indications

• Clean, colonized, contaminated, and infected exuding wounds
